Jim is committed to providing his clients with the highest quality representation.  As an Attorney and Certified Public Accountant he is uniquely qualified in the practice areas of business, finance, estate planning and administration, real estate, and tax related law.   Jim’s clients appreciate his expertise and experience in business formation, business purchases and sales, contract drafting and review, strategic planning, succession planning, wills and trusts, estate administration, commercial and residential real estate transactions, and tax planning and preparation.

Jim graduated from Widener University School of Law, having previously earned his CPA license. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware.  Jim is admitted to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the New Jersey Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.  He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Jim is married with five children and has resided in Coatesville, Chester County for over eighteen years.  He is active in the community as Chairman of the Board of First Resource Bank, a Director of the Pope John Paul II School Board, and St. Cecilia’s Parish Finance Council.

Griffin, P.C. was pleased to welcome Shilpa to the firm in May of 2007.  A practicing attorney for over ten years, Shilpa focuses on business transactions, real estate, estate planning, and estate administration.  Her extensive background also includes real estate, creditor’s rights, collection law and mortgage foreclosure.

Shilpa graduated from Widener University School of Law and earned an LL.M. in tax and estate planning from Villanova University School of Law.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with a Minor in Business Administration, from Pennsylvania State University.  Shilpa is admitted to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the New Jersey Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Shilpa is originally from Montgomery County.  She currently resides in Downingtown, Chester County with her husband and two children.
